Luke Randle
Sports anchor, KFVS
Cape Girardeau, MO

Luke Randle is a Sports Anchor/Reporter for Heartland News.
He joined the KFVS12 Sports Department in December 2023.
With prior awards for live shots and newspaper page design, Luke hopes his versatility can help lead the sports department’s coverage of everything in the Heartland, from college football to high school hoops.
Luke has had the privilege of covering some big moments in sports. Notably, he covered Liberty Field Hockey in their 2021 season, which saw the Lady Flames finish as NCAA D1 national runner-up, and the Idaho Steelhead’s 2023 playoff run, in which the team reached the Kelly Cup Finals.
Prior to working at KFVS, Luke worked as a news reporter at KBOI-TV, in Boise, Idaho. He covered Boise State during a 2022 season that saw a quarterback and OC change, as well as a midseason turnaround.
During his college years at Liberty, he also worked as the Sports Editor for his college newspaper, the Liberty Champion, the largest weekly circulator in central Virginia. He also worked as the assistant feature editor in 2020, which helped him get an outside perspective for what non-sports fans might find interesting in a sports story.
Growing up in Southern Maryland, Luke grew up a Navy fan, with his family regularly traveling to his dad’s alma mater for football games. He still remembers when Navy nearly took down Ohio State in 2014. All of Luke’s family from his mum’s side stills lives in England, so he’s pretty well versed in the other kind of football.
Luke enjoys the outdoors, particularly hiking mountains and skiing. He’s looking to cover more stories and make friends in the area as he becomes engrained in the community.
If you see him about, say hello!
